Your morning cup of coffee out on the porch at Sundance Mountain will be one of those mornings that you will remember for most of your life. I am uncertain how good the coffee will be, but the view will make this a memorable morning for you. When people imagine a cabin in the mountains, their first thoughts are of a primitive, hand-hewn cabin in the woods, up some life-threatening road. Sundance Mountain is not this at all. I would call this - roughing it with style.
You will drive up a paved roadway to the mountain top to arrive at Sundance Mountain sitting firmly atop of the mountain, not perched precariously on a cliff. There are 3 stairs leading from the parking area to the front door.
Walking in the front door, you will instantly feel at home. The large living room, kitchen and dining room all work together to bring the family together at all times of the day and evening. The completely modern kitchen blends wonderfully with the hand-hewn craftsmanship of the stone and wood interior, making you experience the rustic feel of staying in a cabin, without sacrificing your comfort. Sitting around the fireplace in the evenings with friends and family, you can share stories and experiences with each other, building memories which will last a lifetime. The dining area will allow you to share great meals and also friendly competition in card and board games into the night.
Walking out onto the screened porch, you will be amazed by the mountain view, not just a glimpse of a mountain, but a long-range view of the Blue Ridge Mountains unfolding below you for miles and miles as far as the eye can see. You will want to spend hours out on the porch enjoying the view, the companionship and the sights and sounds of the mountains.
The spacious bedroom on the main level boasts a queen size bed and a full bathroom. You can open the double doors to allow the cool breeze in at night for comfortable and blissful sleep.
Upstairs, is the master bedroom retreat. The large master bedroom opens up to its own private screened porch, with its own fireplace. The log frame bed supports this queen sized mattresses. In the bathroom, there is a dressing table, double sinks, a shower, and a large Jacuzzi tub. Retreat into the bedroom and forget about the rest of the world and its worries, at least for a little while.
Downstairs, you will discover the entertainment room, game room, the 3rd bedroom with a queen sized bed, and a full bathroom. In the game room, there is a queen size Murphy bed which can be pulled down to convert this room into a 4th bedroom. Outside on the screened porch, there is a new hot tub for you to enjoy while viewing the mountains behind the cabin.
Outside, there is a firepit, where you can roast marshmallows, tell ghost stories, watch the stars and share tall tales of hunting and fishing adventures. The newly installed hot tub is on the screened porch on the lower level is also available for your relaxation and enjoyment. Satellite TV, wireless internet and local phone access will allow you to experience mountain living at its best. Bring your friends, family or group to Sundance Mountain, and rough it - with style.
